Under his oversight, Kazakhstan's first Data Center Valley is now officially under construction in Ekibastuz. Kazakhtelecom Board Chairman Bagdat Mussin confirmed the foundation is already being poured, with core construction targeted for completion by the end of this year and high-tech equipment installation to begin in early 2027. Water supply and telecom networks are being designed in parallel.
The goal, as Madiyev has framed it: give Kazakhstan its own domestic capacity for AI development, rather than relying entirely on infrastructure hosted abroad.
It's a fitting next step after Kazakhstan's recent entry into the global top 30 countries for AI adoption — Madiyev has pointed to growing everyday use of AI for learning, work and content creation as the foundation for wider adoption across education, business and government.
